All About Footprints

Hello there!

My name is Eliana and I am the doula behind Footprints: Midwest Doula Services.

My home is Central IL where I live with my husband and son. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Psychology from Greenville University in 2020 and later became certified as a birth doula in 2024 through Childbirth International. In addition to training with CBI, I was mentored by Shannon Bacus Birth Doula Services in the fall of 2023. I am also a member of Doulas Etc., a Central IL doula collective that offers a range of support and free childbirth education. Some of my favorite things to do include listening to audiobooks and podcasts, taking in the local walking trails, gardening, and participating in my church community.

My passion for supporting mothers started when my youngest brother was born. I felt so privileged to assist my mom any way that a nine year old could whether that was a diaper change, making baby cereal, or helping rock my baby brother for his nap. Those sweet memories became paired over the years with my faith in Christ. Through all the joys and sorrows this life has brought me, Christ has only ever been faithful to walk with me and carry me through to the other side of my circumstances. His steadfast presence is a strength, hope, peace, and encouragement that I want to share with my clients.

In the doula role, this looks like undivided attention with clients, listening to all your fears and giving comfort with hope, selflessly caring for your needs during labor and postpartum healing, encouraging and inspiring you to grow as the mother you already are, and walking with you through all of it.

I want to support you when you feel overwhelmed, scared, alone, or unheard. I want to help you clarify what you feel is best for yourself and your baby. I want to show you how you can fulfill those goals with confidence.

“My goal is to be the support person that calls out the strength inside you and reminds you that you are not alone.”
